Get busy with the Works Department at Blair Castle

Come along for a construction-themed day at Blair Castle on Sunday 5 July with the Atholl Estates Works Department. The day will be packed with fun activities for children including a build your own kit house game and a maintenance-themed obstacle course. There will also be a display of mighty construction machinery. Adults are invited to meet the works team in the estate tent and learn more about the unusual and interesting maintenance jobs required on a large Highland estate. All activities take place in the castle grounds between 1pm – 4pm and are free to visitors as part of the standard castle or grounds admission.

The Works Department day is the third in a series of days inviting visitors to Blair Castle to discover more about the wider activities on Atholl Estates. Previous days have included a Forestry and Farming day in April and a Gamekeepers day in June. There will be another Discover Atholl Estates Day on 1 August when visitors to the castle will have the opportunity to meet the Estate Ranger Service.
