Eggy, Steady, Go! Easter Fun at Blair Castle
The team at Blair Castle are hosting an array of fantastic family eggy fun this Easter, Friday 2 – Sunday 4 April 2010. The activities will include egg painting and rolling, an easter egg colouring competition, an Easter Bunny treasure hunt in the castle grounds and daily children’s tours of Blair castle during Easter weekend and throughout the Easter holidays. The historic grounds and interior of Blair Castle will provide a magnificent backdrop for these traditional Easter entertainments.
Every day over the Easter weekend, there will be an opportunity to join in the Easter Bunny Treasure Hunt in the castle gardens. Find the Easter bunny’s carrots hidden among the spring flowers and foliage and mark them on the treasure map. Once you have found all the carrots hop along to claim your chocolate Easter egg prize inside the castle shop. Maps will be available to collect from the Castle Entrance Hall on arrival.
On Sunday 4 April, from 2pm to 3pm there will be Egg Painting and Rolling on the grass brae next to the deer park. Entrants are invited to decorate a hard-boiled egg before entering the Blair Castle Egg Rolling competition. There will be prizes for the 3 best painted eggs and the 3 fastest eggs.
The Easter events at Blair Castle are part of an on-going programme of fun activities for families and children at Blair Castle this Spring/Summer including daily children’s tours of the castle throughout the summer holidays and tractor rides in the castle gardens.
Blair Castle is open daily, 9.30am – 5.30pm from 28 March - 29 October 2010. For further information, please contact Blair Castle on 01796 481207.
