Antiques Roadshow a Great Success

Over 2000 guests descended on the Antiques Roadshow at Blair Castle on Thursday, much to the delight of the programme producers.

The team of expert valuers were busy from 9.30am until light failed at 7pm and some fascinating antiques were presented.

Co-incidentally one of the most surprising finds came from Blair Castle with the identification of a toy train belonging to the Ducal family during the mid 19th century, thought to be worth in the region of £25,000.

Fiona Bruce reflected on the day by saying, 'What a brilliant turnout and in such glorious sunshine. Perthshire has really done us proud'.

We would all agree with that.
