ALL ABILITIES

One hour treks | Two hour treks | Heather, hills and Hamish

The Centre offers treks and hacks to suit all abilities, and complete beginners are welcome.

Shorter treks and hacks are offered, as well as day rides. Other durations can usually be arranged to suit. Bookings can be made for individuals, or for groups of up to eight people. Keeping the parties small ensures that the ride leaders can give their attention to everyone, and to ensure all rides are both fun and safe.

One hour treks

The perfect trek for beginners, or those who are looking to pack as much activity into their break as possible, this short trek follows a path through the historic managed landscape of Blair Castle.

Time:
10.00am – 11.00am & 2.00pm – 3.00pm

Cost:
£22 per person

Two hour treks

Suitable for beginners or experienced riders, the treks take in the best of Blair Castle’s managed landscape. Your trekking leader will choose the best routes taking into consideration abilities and seasonal views. After the trek you can enjoy refreshments at the Castle Restaurant or take advantage of our special three-course lunch offer (morning tours only).

Time:
10.00am – 12noon & 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Cost:
£34 per person
£44 per person (including three-course lunch)

Heather, hills and Hamish

Take a guided tour through the stunning hills and heather moors of Atholl. Following old drover tracks, perhaps catching a glimpse of roe deer, grouse and red squirrels as buzzards fly overhead. The ride will be guided by Hamish, an estate ghillie, who will be able to answer questions on stalking and heather management. The two hour ride is suitable for beginners and experienced riders.

10.00am – 12.00noon every Wednesday from April to September

Cost:
£35 per person (£45 including three-course lunch)
